Camped at Union Creek Campground
Aside from short climbs at the beginning and end of the hike, today was predominantly flat. We made it up to Crater Lake, which is absolutely stunning. My whole body is aching today, and I'm glad we have a zero in our future. We met Kyle and Will at the lake. Will's ankle got twisted again during training and he may be heading home. The same ankle. That sucks so profoundly. Also, apparently all of Northern California is on fire. This may prove difficult to skirt around. Hopefully we don't have to skip much but we'll see. Fire is not to be trifled with.
