Sleeping in Tehachapi
Today went swimmingly. All boxes were collected, including new shoes and a new shirt! I feel like a new man. Rockin's son Grant was nice enough to drive us to town for errands. I had a great time chatting with him as we did our logistical things. It was so nice to be at an actual house for a change. So very nice. I fixed my tent, too! It's not pretty, but it should get me to Mexico. Dan, Rockin's husband, cooked an incredible shrimp pasta dish, and we went to bed content. What a super nice, awesome family. Time and again, I am awed by the hospitality we have received on the trail, and today was no different.
Peter's favorite moment of the whole trip.
