Pretty Lakes and Stuff

Day 94 9/14
Mileage 22.7
Camped in Red's Meadow CG

Today, the scenery was nothing short of spectacular. The Ansel Adams wilderness is just stunning. Enormous granite peaks towered all around us, their bases disappearing into crystal clear blue lakes. It was a windy day. We took the JMT alternate route, adding a full .2 miles onto our day! It was well worth it. We saw a bunch of other hikers and ran from a storm for a while, which never really amounted to much. Towards the end of the day, we saw Devil's Postpile, a nifty rock formation comprised of straight geometrical pieces of rock. Also I'm exhausted.
